Mitchell Cup Winner 2012 Tariq Ashrif

Well done to Tariq Ashrif for Winning the Monday Night League Mitchel Cup!

Tariq stepped up to the challenge this year and powered through the Knock-out stages to the final with a few 200+ games! His opponent was John Kilpatrick, Tariq’s coach for the last 15 years! John had played very well to get to the final, especially after knocking out hot favourite Paul Traynor.  But Tariq proved too much as he clinched his first Cup Mitchel Cup!

We now look forward to the season Finale when the Mirror Image Cup returns at the end of the season where some will be looking for some revenge!

The Mitchell Cup is Named after Ronnie Mitchell who has been a member for many years. Ronnie suffered an injury which has kept him out of bowling for a number of years now. Ronnie still shows his support by sponsoring our league cup. From everyone at Lanarkshire we would like to Thank you.

The Mitchell Cup is based on a knock-out system. But to exit the tournament you have to be beaten twice. This has been a great tournament over the years and one all bowlers love to play in.
