Welcome to The Commonwealth Championships, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

In a stunning week of Events for Lanarkshire, 2 Scottish Internationalist have been given the nod by the STBA to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! The Championships are being held from the 19th - 26th February.

The 2 Bowlers are President of the LTBA David Angus and Claire Guild who has just joined Lanarkshire This Year. Both have Represented Scotland at International level and now Look forward to the challenge. They will be joined by one of Scotland's most experienced players Laura Rhoney from Angus and the ever impressive Mark Kerr from Fife. All 4 bowlers play for Team Pro Approach! The most impressive thing about the 4 bowlers is this has all been organised in the last 3 days which had given the team less than a week to organise themselves away. A big Thank You Has to go out to Carla Kerr, Marks Wife and Lynne Clay the Secretary-General of the www.ctbf.org . Without Carla and Lynne the organising of this trip would not have happened at this short notice!

This goes to show Lanarkshire Tenpin Bowling Association really can take you anywhere in the world! And a big Thank you to the STBA for the opportunity for the 4 bowlers who will represent Scotland

Mark Kerr and Laura Rhoney make the Masters! Mark finished 7th out 12th in the All Events. Laura had an amazing Finish in the Team Event to Storm her way into the Masters! We done to them both!

Dissapointing start to the championships! But after the doubles everyone is now settled down after a good finish in the doubles. We will call it Jet Lag!
Mark is still sitting strong in the All events and Laura and Claire are just oustide the top 12 for All Events. All hoping for a very good day on the Mixed Doubles. The event is now on Live TV for the next two days! For scoring updates please check on-line at http://www.ctbc2011.org/

Official Team Practice this morning. at 10.30am the long pattern will be put down. Followed by the short pattern at 1.00pm. The opening cermony at 3-6.00pm. Then an early night the Mens Singles followed by the womens Singles.

All bowling balls were registered this morning and all passed. A big thanks once again to Pro Approach.

Arrived in Hotel and 10:30pm. Malaysia really have went all out the tournament. The hotel is 1st class. Proberly one of the best venues for a an International Tournament Click here to see the venue.

Team Leaving from Glasgow Airport around 1pm on Thursday. The team will arrive Friday 9.30pm.

1st Practice day will be on 20th February. Then the singles start on the 20th February, from 10am. Thank you for all the support! We Will keep you updated.
